Comodo Verification Engine is an anti-phishing add-on that works with all popular browsers and automatically verifies the identity of many commercial websites. To make sure that the site you are doingbusiness with is what it claims to be, you can simply hover your mouse over the company logo and agreen border will appear around your browser window (and optional audio alert), indicating that thesite has been verified. Verification Engine can detect advanced phishing scams by verifying the IP address of the actual site, as well as form submissions via login box. The program can only verify sites that are registered with the service, however this covers most large online merchants and financial institutions. Works with Internet Explorer, Firefox and Netscape. |
