GenoPal is a tool to generate eye pleasing color schemes based on a start color you pick from your screen or the standard Windows color palette. It offers two sliders that let you change the diversityand lightness of the generated colors. You can choose from 4 different layouts that limit or expandthe number of colors that are included in the pattern, and also lock specific colors, preventing them from being changed when you browse through the schemes. If you find a scheme you like, you can save it or export it to Adobe or Solidworks formats. Unlike most other color scheme tools, that allowyou to define how colors are selected, GeneoPal provides very little control over the colors that are generated, and it does not offer any support for browser safe colors, page layouts or other aspects of web designs. The generated schemes are indeed pleasant, but considering the rather expensive price, we would have expected some more features and control over colors. Includes plug-ins for AdobePhotoshop and Illustrator. |
