wTicker is an advanced feed aggregator, that comes loaded with many unique features. Besides RSS Feeds, it also supports to gather information from Usenet, Email or even local eventlogs. While loadedwith features, this is most certainly a software for more advanced users - the documentation is sparse, and we found it very difficult to figure out the features and concept of the program, which involve custom SQL queries and dozens of configuration options. Using the program as basic RSS feed reader is fairly straightforward though, and includes an optional desktop ticker, as well as keyword alerts, article tags and integrated browser display. Making use of the more advanced feature will require some time and patience. |
