NetResident is a network traffic monitor that captures, stores and analyzes all packet traffic fromselected protocols. It reconstructs each event and displays a preview of the web page, email messageor other communication that took place, including transmitted (unencrypted) passwords. NetResidentsupports standard HTTP, FTP and Mail protocols, as well as special protocols via plug-ins (ICQ, MSN,News). The program is easy to use and organizes the logged data by date, machine and protocol, andalso offers several basic filters to exclude stations, sites or file types from logging. NetResidentruns as a local service. |
