Vertrix 2: I almost wrote it off as another Tetris or Columns clone. I didn't realize that the developer would do so much to set it apart from those classic games. The gameplay will feel instantly familiar but in a surprising contrast, you can choose different characters with different powerups. Itreally feels strange picking a fighter for a puzzle game, but it works well in this situation. The game's mix of high-color graphics and pumping sounds keeps the arcade action high throughout. However, it seems that in order to keep a large amount of flair, the screen is always a little cluttered. Aside from that, Vertrix 2 is a wonderful puzzle game for anyone.
